ATTENTION TEACHERS: PLEASE DO THE BASIC MATH ON YOUR SALARY

  • After 10 years of receiving cost-of-living increases (inflation), that means 3% (year 1) + 3% (year 2) + 3% (year 3), etc. = 30% instant raise owed.
  • It's more complicated, but let's ask for the MINIMUM required to pay bills.
  • 30% catches us up to being "even."  What about raises for experience?
  • Are we owed for 20 years?

Why 30% of Staff Can Request a 30% Raise

30% Support Needed

The National Labor Relations Board requires a single school teacher to petition them, guaranteeing 30% building support, before being granted the right to COLLECTIVELY BARGAIN BOUND TO LABOR LAWS.

With inflation being 3% per year, over 10 years, that equates to a 40% raise -check my math.

Is NEA Membership Required?

Answer:  No

I am a NEA member.  I pay dues as the founder; however, not everyone can afford NEA dues.  This approach empowers a local teacher to approach the school board to negotiate an INFLATIONARY WAGE INCREASE TO GET OUR WAGES CAUGHT UP.

Why am I doing this?

Educators need to retire, and many are not financially savvy - they are good trusting people who generally do not care about money; however, inflation has caught up to us.  It is not just educators but all middle-class workers.

If educators were factory workers, they would have made an extra $600,000+- of overtime pay before retirement.  They have "volunteered" to work extra for so long, it is now expected.  Between this expectation and inflation, teachers need to demand inflationary wage increases.

Answer:  I am a teacher.  I am used to working overtime without pay.

Parents and Taxpayers are being Cheated

Option 6 Teachers are an Issue

Option 6 Teachers are an Issue

Option 6 Teachers are an Issue

These are non-certified teachers being stuffed into schools because school leaders refuse to expose problems in public schools.   Teachers are not being paid their value, so they are finding other untrained adults who cannot find work or who are still in college.   Parents should be outraged.

Parents - Ask Teachers

Option 6 Teachers are an Issue

Option 6 Teachers are an Issue

Parents who know teachers understand option 6 teachers (emergency certified teachers sounds bad) are random people pulled off the streets and being offered $50,000 per year to teach.  Schools have no money.  They have no choice but to pay random people off the streets with no training.

This is non-political. Support wanted from both sides.

Supporters/members will never worry about being cancelled.  This is about being paid a RELIABLE WAGE relative to growing economies from year to year.  This is not race-related, about abortion, gun rights, or global warming.  We want improved salaries that simply keep up with inflation.

Ask Your NEA Rep - They will tell you they are no longer needed to make these wage demands; however, we still need NEA support.
